Sustainable Energy Management

Sustainable Energy Management

Växjö has good experience with using the environmental management system ecoBudget for taking into account the indicators in the environmental program. Nevertheless, the system could still be improved. A possible improvement concerns the understanding of the way the system can be used to create an even more sustainable use of energy in Växjö.

The project aims to create a coherent sustainable energy management and to ensure the commitments of the decision-makers and energy end-users.

In order to reach the main objectives an inventory of the different EMS elements and a SWOT-analysis on the system have already been implemented. Therefore, the elements which need to be improved or developed (such as the local EMS routines) have been identified in order to create a more sustainable energy management.
The identified improvement measures will then be implemented in the present EMS. and the work will finally be evaluated.
