Demand side management

Demand side management in Välle Broar

In addition to the applied solutions for energy efficiency in the buildings, this integration demonstration project will focus on the behaviour related energy conservations, and the technical, economical and educational measures needed to achieve a goal of a 10 percentages reduction of the tenants’ internal/domestic energy/electricity consumption.

The work includes the technical measure of installing individual meters for heating, cooling, water and electricity in 400 dwellings, 5 offices and tertiary localities and 4 shops/stores.

The information, economical and educational measures consists of a combination of targeted individual energy advise will be received through a new web based communication system, more comprehensive and transparent invoices and an over all information and promotion effort by the energy utility towards the end-users of energy.

A main focus will be to establish and explain the “win-win” perspective for the utilities and their customers in terms of demand side management.
